My oldest daughter, Brianna. She has surgery this afternoon (gyno stuff) and is quite anxious about the surgery and the ramifications of what comes after—meaning, how this might impact having kiddos. Please send good vibes, healing thoughts, and powerful prayers her direction. Thank you from both of us—I did ask her permission before sharing this.

Trying to catch up on adding to my Recipe Box all the recipes I've tried and photographed in the past few months. (I could never be a food blogger—I take too darn long on this simple chore!)

Listening to...

Lately I find myself listening to a local Top 40 station more and more, much to Jim's chagrin. I'm not positive what's moving me further from rock. Crappy rock artists of late? Age? The "The Voice" effect? A desire to sing more (and most hard rock songs aren't all that sing-alongable)? Whatever the reason, I'm liking the poppy people.
