Super simple guide to a good time
Seeking a guaranteed good time for your grands? One requiring no cooking or crafting ability, no expenditure of cash?
Seek no more! I’ve got ya covered with this simple sort of something fun.*
First, find a box (the bigger the better):
Next, add a couple of kids:
Throw in a PawDad — aka a grandpa — if you have one on hand:
Then, leave the rest up to their imagination.
Three-year-old Benjamin’s imagination transformed the box into a train to transport 15-month-old brother Robert from one end of Gramma’s (dry-as-can-be) yard to the other again and again, with each departure punctuated by a call for “All aboard!”
Ah, the simple joys of boxes and boys — or girls, if that’s what you have on hand.
All aboard!
*Sure, the awesomeness of an empty box isn’t news to grandmothers and others. Yet I firmly believe reminders of life’s simple joys are well worth repeating — especially when those doing the reminding are kiddos as cute as these.
