Letting go
I saw this sentiment on Instagram Sunday and was immediately smitten. It’s bold and brief (my favorite sort of inspiration) and gorgeously displays the grandeur of fall (my favorite season).
It’s a lovely reminder of the need to let go. And I have a lot of letting go to do.
Much of what I need to let go is related to expectations—not only of others but even more so of myself.
An equal (possibly more) level of letting go I’ve got to do is related to stuff. Material stuff such as extra furniture and books and kitchen ware and more as Jim and I finally made the unequivocal (!!) decision to put our beloved home on the market next spring and move to a more suitable—i.e. smaller—home. One that doesn’t require constant upkeep and never-ending chores.
And who’s not up to letting go of a chore or two… or ten?
In what ways might you be wanting to—needing to—let go? I hope the Instagram gem above inspires you to do so as much as it does me.
